1. Promoter

The promoter of this prize draw is Edinburgh Board Game Library (“the Promoter”).

2. Eligibility

The prize draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, except volunteers of the Promoter and anyone professionally connected with this promotion.

Participation is voluntary and no purchase is necessary.

3. How to Enter

To enter the prize draw, participants must:

• Complete the survey, and

• Voluntarily provide a valid email address at the end of the survey for prize draw entry.

Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple entries will be disregarded.

4. Opening and Closing Dates

Entries open at 00:00 on 07. January 2026 and close at 23:59 on 14 February 2026.
Entries received after this time will not be included in the draw.

5. Prize

The prize is one board game: Photosynthesis

or alternatively, one 12-month regular membership to Edinburgh Board Game Library.

The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is available.
The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.

6. Winner Selection and Notification

The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries within 14 days of the closing date.

The winner will be contacted using the email address provided at entry.

If the winner does not respond within 14 days of being contacted, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

7. Delivery of Prize

The prize needs to be picked up at regular opening hours of Edinburgh Board Game Library. These are Thursdays 6-8pm at Southside Community Centre (117 Nicolson St, Edinburgh EH8 9ER)

8. Data Protection and Privacy

Personal data (email address and, if applicable, postal address) will be used solely for the purposes of:

• Administering the prize draw, and

• Contacting the winner.

Data will be processed in accordance with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

If the participant opted to join our marketing channels (newsletter), the nominated e-mail address will handled for marketing communication including sharing with third parties. The participant can opt out at any time.

Otherwise personal data will not be used for marketing purposes and will not be shared with third parties.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to technical faults, computer hardware or software failures, network issues, or any other reasons beyond its reasonable control.

To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from acceptance or use of the prize.

10. General

The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the prize draw and these Terms and Conditions where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any survey platform or social media platform used to distribute the survey.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Scottish law, and participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
